WWC226 - Dawn's Masculine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Hello there and welcome!  It's all about masculine cards this week at Watercooler Wednesday and Dawn is our hostess. I hope you will stop by the website, see what the artists have created and then submit one of your cards.
A handmade card featuring the Altenew Pinstripes Background Stamp.
In my family, men (and ladies too!) enjoy a good humorous card.  This dog (Fetch by Photoplay) makes me smile every time I use him.  This is a simple one layer panel mounted on a Lilac A2 card.

Supplies used :

Photoplay Fetch
Altenew Pinstripes Background Stamp
SSS Brush Stroke Messages Sentiment
Hero Arts Lilac Ink
Copic markers
MFT Stitched rectangular die STAX set 2

Inkadinkadoo Stamping Mask Paper

I stamped Fetch, colored with Copics, masked and then stamped the background stamp in lilac.  I love how the dog almost makes a perfect square.

I am entering this card in:
June Papercraft Challenge

I am so pleased you stopped by today!

WWC220 - Kath's "All About Occasions" Challenge

Happy Wednesday and thank you for stopping by.  It is All About Occasions on the Watercooler Website and Kath is our hostess this week.
Distress Ink: wilted violet, salty ocean, twisted citron, squeezed lemonade, carved pumpkin

This is the Mother's Day card I made for my mother-in-law.  I embossed the  blooms and leaves from Create a Smile's In Bloom.  I love these large bold flowers!  Then I used distress ink (wilted violet, salty ocean, twisted citron, squeezed lemonade, carved pumpkin) on an ink blender to color each image.  I buffed and let dry. Finally, I fussy cut each image.  I really need to order the die cuts for this much used set.

Next, I stamped a background using SSS's Brush Stroke Messages.  I adhered the flowers and leaves using foam tape for dimension.  Last I popped on the sentiment and added SSS sequins  and Pretty Pink Posh jewels.

I am joining Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday "For a Special Lady" Challenge

Thanks for stopping by!

Linear Pattern Stamping

I love the look of linear pattern stamping and think the horizontal (coffee cups) and vertical (cupcakes) stripes emphasizes the  linear look.  I used an acrylic block and grid paper (instead of a Misti) to hand stamp the images (Altenew Tea Time).
Altenew Tea Time Stamp Set

The coloring went very fast as I only used four colors and no blending:
Y35
BG05
RV23
YG25
N1 to outline

Being a birthday card, I wanted to add a cake (Jane's Doodles Party Time) to the Sentiment (SSS Brush Stroke Messages).  I mounted on a grey card, adhered a white insert inside and added a "celebrate" sentiment.

This card is for one of my best friends and I am entering it in the following challenges:

Update:  This card was chosen as a "Top Pick" for the  Always Happy Birthday July Challenge

Thanks for stopping by!
