WWC236 - Heidi's "All About Occasions" Challenge

Hello and welcome!  This week is all about occasions at Watercooler Wednesday.  Holidays, Birthdays, Weddings, Anniversary, Sympathy, Thank You, Congratulations....your choice.  Heidi is our hostess.  

I white heat embossed a bunch of random botanical images and then ink blended over the embossing.  In person, the blending looks the same color but when I photographed the card, the light played off potions of the card.

I used three inks:  Distress Shaded Lilac, Dare2B Artzy Blue Sky and SSS Steel Blue.  I finished off the cards with a few sequins.

WWC235 - Marsha's Masculine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Hello there!  This week it is all about the men in our lives at Watercooler Wednesday.  Marsha is our hostess.

This is the birthday card I made for my husband. I went to a Copic workshop with Laura Griffin and we did alcohol ink designs with Copic re-inkers.  This card is two alcohol ink panels.  The sky is yellow, yellow red and red violet and the lake is three shades of blue.  We used the tilt technique which is to saturate the Yupo paper with blending solution, then add alcohol ink and then tilt the Yupo paper to mix the colors.  

We used Impression Obsession Heron and Lake die cuts.  I love blending inks and this card turned out bold, beautiful and vivid.

WWC234 - Dawn's "All About Occasions" Challenge

Hello and welcome! This week it is all about occasions at  Watercooler Wednesday and I decided to increase my stock of Sympathy cards.  I find it easier to make them before they are needed.  

I die-cut this pretty scripty sentiment from a yupo/alcohol ink sheet and then simply framed it.  I like the clean simple lines.

WWC233 - Karen's Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge

 This week it is Watercooler Wednesday's Feminine Challenge and I am this week's hostess.  Thank you so much of stopping by!

I've created a bright fun floral birthday card using Doodle Buds by WPlus9.  I have been practicing some off-the-edge-diecutting and this is one of the cards I created. The other two are Playful Pups and Get Well.

I colored with Copic markers and added a birthday sentiment.

Humorous Get Well Card

I needed to restock my Get Well cards and I think humor can be fun as long as the condition is not too serious.

This dog and the bird always make me smile and I thought it would be cute to have the bird, big eyes and all, hang upside down.  The background is hand inked.
